Edinburgh International Harpfestival 2026
The 45th Edinburgh International Harp Festival (EIHF) takes place from Friday, April 10 to Tuesday, April 14, 2026. As the premier harping event in the UK, it features a mix of concerts, workshops, and courses.: The lineup includes world-renowned performers such as Welsh pedal harpist Catrin Finch, YouTube sensation Amy Turk, jazz harpist Park Stickney, and Paraguayan artist Juanjo Corbalán. Special Events:
Opening Gathering: A free reception for participants on Friday at 6:00 PM.
Harp Tasting: A popular event on Sunday lunchtime where audiences compare the sounds of different harps.
Late Night Sessions: Informal jam sessions and storytelling starting at 9:30 PM each evening.
Harpmakers' Exhibition: A showcase of instruments ranging from historical reproductions to modern designs.:
Over 32 courses and various workshops are offered for all skill levels, from complete beginners to advanced players.
Location: George Watson's College is situated just south of Edinburgh city centre near Bruntsfield.
Transport: Accessible via Lothian Buses services 10, 11, 16, 23, 27, 36, 38, and 45.
Facilities: Evening concerts generally held in the Assembly Hall; afternoon concerts and workshops are often in the Music School Auditorium. Dedicated harp drop-off points and parking are available on-site.
